Cell bioprinting
Tissue Engineering 3D Platform
Building tissue one layer at a time
Our expertise in the additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology combined with our understanding of 3D tissue models allows us to explore the bioprinting of various cell types (Figure 1) to biofabricate tissue for in-vitro applications.
Utilising the speed, precision and selective deposition of drop-on-demand based bioprinting technology, we can arrange cells with geometric complexity that is difficult to achieve with standard tissue culture techniques. To date we have successfully bioprinted primary human skin cells and human MSCs to produce Skimune®3D (Figure 2) and Skimune®OA respectively. Additionally we have been able to demonstrate in-vitro functional applications for both bioprinted tissue constructs.
